The High Priestess is the guardian of the subconscious mind and the nurturer of divine wisdom and hidden secrets.

She is the second card of the Major Arcana, representing intuition, mystery and passivity. Unlike many of the tarot cards, she does not involve taking action or making a move, but encourages withdrawal from involvement.
