This is a my attempt to recreate Dalaran from World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. It's a very complex model. I tried to recreate it as detailed as possible, but still not to go crazy with amount of details.
Whole project contains over 100 stl files, documentation and instruction, screenshot of actual Dalaran for some references.the base for whole city are comes in two options.
Before you download this project, be ready that it will take a lot of time. The print time for whole project is around 400 hours (~17 days) and it will took around 1800g of filament.
I didn’t try to print on resin, but it should be good. If you will print on resin, you definitely can reduce the scale, but for FDM it’s not recommended, because some small parts will be extremely difficult to print.
Also it is very important that your printer is dimensional accurate, make sure that steps/mm on all axes are set well. If not, some objects will not fit properly to each other.
3D printing settings:
Nozzle 0.2 (I use a smaller nozzle to achieve more details and be more precise ontolerances ). Some objects will print on regular 0.4. I will mention them in instructionlayer height 0.12wall line count 2print thin walls is strongly recommendedtop/bottom layers 6infill 5-10%print temp. 200c but that will depend on the material which you use and the printer.bed 55cSpeed 30 mm/s (slower is better.) but you can tweak as you want.Supports: so most of the models were designed to be printed without support, butthere are some exceptions, the STL file names are gonna have some hints with settings, like print with supports, etc.bed adhesion: I use the brim, but it also depends on your adhesion.
