Crystal Hatchling captures the delicate moment of birth — a baby dragon emerging from a perfectly spherical crystal egg. The translucent shell fractures in radiant geometry, revealing the small dragon within, its scales shimmering like polished gemstones and wings folded tightly against its body. The creature’s curious gaze and balanced circular composition make it both enchanting and symbolic of new beginnings.
This model was created with attention to smooth, organic transitions between the crystalline surface and the hatchling’s detailed anatomy. The spherical symmetry makes it ideal for full 360° display, whether printed in translucent resin for a glowing crystal effect or in matte filament for a stone-like aesthetic.
The initial 3D form of this model was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software.
Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a visually rich and color-accurate result when used with supported render engines or full-color printing. Non-textured versions (STL, 3MF) retain the overall form and details but omit reflective surface variation. Available formats include STL, OBJ, MTL, 3MF, FBX, and BLEND files, provided both individually and as a ZIP archive.
Technical Features and Printing Recommendations:
Recommended print settings: 0.1–0.15 mm layer height for sharp crystalline edges
Supports: Required under egg edges and wings
Suggested materials: Translucent resin or clear PLA for best visual effect
Recommended size: 120–160 mm diameter for optimal curvature and detail
Minimum print time: ~10–13 hours depending on scale and material
Material usage: ~100–160 g depending on infill density
Scaling Note: Model designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears undersized when imported, ensure the slicer is set to mm units. Scale 100× if imported as meters.
