3D model of the golden Gwent trophy received when completing the in-game secondary quest High Stakes in the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This version has been made high-res and 3D-printable to replace the original low-poly look.
The original 3D model was extracted using the official The Witcher 3 REDkit modding tools.
Low-poly LOD meshes have been removed.
Low-res materials and textures have been removed.
The model is scaled to its actual in-game size (17cm x 15cm x 39cm), with scale set to 1 and rotation set to zero (front-facing).
The low-poly mesh was subdivided to 280,512 polygons.
The mesh has been optimized to remove all non-manifold edges.
3D Printing Notes (Based on testing)Print Speed: Slow down your print speed to achieve a more detailed and beautiful look.
Supports: Supports are mandatory for the fingers and the Gwent card stack due to overhangs. If supports break, increase the support infill density.
Walls: Use more walls for stability; I used three walls instead of the standard two in Creality Print. (Printed on a Creality K1C).
Infill: My print was stable with 15% Gyroid infill and a concentric printing pattern.
Scaling: I recommend printing the model in one piece. For my test print, I scaled it down to 25cm in height (original in-game height is 39cm).
Updates:I have uploaded one additional *_Optimized files with a flattened bottom for easier first layers and reduced support needs. These are kept separate as they deviate slightly from the original model shape.
