This is a sword I modeled based on an illustration I drew. The pommel and guard have slots that can accept metal rods to add extra weight to the parts for a more realistic feel. These aren't necessary but are there if you wish.
For the pommel you will need a .5 inch diameter rod and a 7/16 rod that will need to be cut to length, glued in and then the 2 halves of the pommel to be glued together. The guard is the same concept as you will need a 3/8 rod to be inserted into either end, cut to length, glued in and then the 2 halves of the guard glued togther.
The handle and blade sections require a 3/16 rod or dowel for allignment pins that will need to be cut to length and secured like the previous parts.
The handle plugs into the guard and pommel. Guard halves need two 1/8 inch allignment pins.
