Depth of Field (DOF) Using Arnold Renderer in MayaDepth of Field (DOF) is a camera effect that makes a specific area of the scene appear sharp while the background becomes blurred. It adds a cinematic feel and helps guide the viewer's focus.
In Arnold, DOF is controlled through:
Focus Distance – The distance from the camera to the object in focus.
Aperture Size – Controls the blur intensity (larger values = stronger blur).
Focus Controller Using LocatorTo make focus control easier:
A locator is used as a controller and can be freely moved in the scene to adjust the camera’s focus point.
Place the locator near the object you want in focus.
Link the distance between the camera and locator to the Focus Distance.
When the locator moves, the focus point updates automatically.
