Description Description Description The design is a chess set that can be wall mounted. It has a 12x12 play area. The overall size of the one-piece chess board and the frame is 12.7x12.7. As a result, a fairly large printer will be required. This part was made with an Ender 5 Plus with a 425x425 cm print bed. The chess board, back plate, frame, and 32 black squares with small shelves are all one printed piece. The 32 white squares/shelves are each printed separately and glued in place using gel-type instant adhesive. A rendering of what the board looks like after printing is also included. Sorry I did not take a picture before gluing the small white shelves on.

As the chess board is relatively light, ours was mounted to the wall using four 3M picture hanging strips, one in each corner. Screw mounting holes have been incorporated into the back of the board if it is desired to screw mount to a wall.

The piece designs are also included with the files. Because they are so small and have a lot of fine detail, a stereolithography printer (SLA), also known as a resin printer, was used for the pieces. Other piece designs can be used if you have them.

Also included in the design files is a suitable storage box for the small pieces and last move marker. The box length is the same as the chess board width, so it looks good if you decide to wall-mount it below the board. I couldn't decide what color I wanted to use for the sliding doors on the box, so I made several in different colors to change them out periodically.
