Description

In the near future, one of the many new satalites that humans will build are laser satalites. Laser satalites have many different utilities. Most noticible are military aplications, both as a tool for warefare, as well as a defence system against incomming astroids. Besides these uses, big space lasers can also be used to clear the orbit from debris in order to avoid kasler syndrome. Perhaps the most ambisious way to use this laser is in propultion systems like starlink, and this laser system could be used to actually propel a solar sail satalite to other stars.

This laser satalite model is based on real world examples of military laser systems developed as anti-missle defence system and therefor is actually buildable in the near futere. Unlike many pure science fiction laser models that have no basis in realyty.
