This model of Oxystele sinensis (The pink lipped topshell) was produced with photogrammetry of a real shell.
Included with this purchase:
- 5 LOD stages with seperate obj and fbx files
- A blender file containing all LOD stages
- 4096x4096 and 1024x1024 texture + normal maps(tangent space, object space, world space) + ambient occlusion maps
- Three unity packages (HQ, Medium, Small) preconfigured with working LODs, simply import then drag and drop the prefab into your scene

Preview images were rendered with blender renderer.The LOD stages in the blender file are on layers 2-6, and can be viewed by pressing the corresponding number in the 3d view.
All 5 LOD stages share the same UV layout, therefore only needing to load one set of textures into memory at runtime. As a tradeoff however, some texture deterioration occurs on the low poly LOD stages (See preview image #8). This has been mostly mitigated by choosing UV seams carefully to hide the effect.
LOD Stages
- LOD0 : 28,512 faces
- LOD1 : 15,335 faces
- LOD2 : 5,060 faces
- LOD3 : 2,024 faces
- LOD4 : 202 faces
The three unity packages are self contained and have LOD configured out of the box (LOD camera distance can easily be tweaked if needed). Versions:
- HQ: LOD0-LOD4 is used with 4096x4096 texture+Normal map+Ambient oclusion map for maximum quality leading to a 33.8 MB package size.
- Medium: LOD0-LOD4 is used with 1024x1024 texture/normal/ambient occlusion maps instead leading to a 5.7MB package size.
- Small: LOD1-LOD4 is used with 512x512 texture/normal/ambient occlusion maps leading to a 2MB package size.
