Description

The Ori Olokun Head, a bronze representation of Oduduwa from Ife, is among eighteen copper alloy sculptures discovered in 1938 at Ife, Nigeria—once the religious and royal center of the Yoruba people. It serves as a significant emblem for Isese Yoruba followers, and its iconic status extends to being the emblem for the 1973 All-Africa Games in Lagos. Over time, it has been embraced as the symbol for various commercial, educational, and financial institutions, evolving into a universal representation of African heritage.
