Description
  • Styphnolobium, also known as the Japanese pagoda tree, is a deciduous tree native to China, Korea, and Japan. It features a broad, spreading crown and can grow up to 40-50 feet tall. The leaves are pinnately compound and can have up to 15 leaflets. In late summer, the tree produces fragrant, creamy-white flowers that bloom in large, pyramidal clusters. The tree prefers full sun to partial shade and can tolerate a wide range of soil types. Styphnolobium is often used as an ornamental tree in parks and gardens due to its attractive form and showy flowers.
