The project of heavy anti-tank self-propelled gun was developed in the first half of the 1950s using Centurion Mk3 units and assemblies. Initially, the ACS was tested with mechanized combat. But since the combat laying did not correspond to the dimensions of the tower, they decided to abandon it. One sample was produced, which was tested, but the machine was not mass-produced.
