DESCRIPTION

The AIM-7 Sparrow is an American medium-range air-to-air missile with a semi-active radar homing head. Entered service with the US Navy in 1956. It has been modernized many times and is still used by the air forces of many countries around the world, gradually being replaced by the more advanced AIM-120 AMRAAM missile.
