This highly detailed 3D model represents a late medieval bascinet helmet, featuring the iconic hounskull (pig-faced) visor design that was popular among European knights during the 14th–15th centuries. Historically developed from the earlier open-faced bascinet, this style provided superior facial protection with its pointed visor, narrow vision slits, and functional breathing holes.
The model also includes decorative elements such as a leather crown trim with studs, adding both realism and authenticity. Its carefully weathered surface showcases battle wear, scratches, and patina, making it perfect for immersive projects.
Files provided include stl for the visor and base helmet, it has never been printed, but it does have everything merged in a single mesh avoiding internal bubles as much as possible. Although it was not design for 3D printing it is perfectly doable with provided files and a bit of cleaning on the user side.
