DESCRIPTION

This oriental knife set contains four (4) handmade Japanese carbon-steel kitchen knives, using PBR textures created with Substance Painter for metallic workflows.

Nakiri: Vegetable knife, robust and wider blade. The flat tip makes it more maneuverable.

Santoku: A general use kitchen knife, usually the first step for a new chef buying a good all-around kitchen knife. Good for cutting, chopping and mincing. It was my first kitchen knife, and it has served me well for years.

Gyuto:  Similiar to the sentoku, but with a longer blade. The tip is sharper making it good for making fine cuts.

Bunka: Also similiar to the sentoku, used for the same purposes, but with a straight tip.

I made these as I work as a professional chef, and these knives are my everyday tools. I personally sharpen them every day with a #4000 grit whetstone. A chefs' choice of knife is personal. Some prefer stainless knives, and others prefer carbon-steel knives. These knives use carbon steel, which makes them easier to sharpen, and in my opinion, looks much better than the stainless-steel knives.

This pack contains compressed JPG textures, and lossless PNG textures at 1k, 2k, 4k and 8k.  Base Colour, Height, Roughness, Metallic and Normals are all included.

I hope you will find a special place for these knives in your renders, games and advertising, just as I've found a special place for them in my kitchen!

About me:

I am a military chef that has been working with blender, substance painter, Photoshop, and many other softwares for making games, architectural visualizations, and product marketing with various studios, for close to 7 years, I work with a PBR based workflow, while also optimizing my work for games by using clever baking and hand painted textures.

Nothing is flawless, but that is  what makes the world so exciting!

**You are free to use any textures, models and maps for any purpose after purchasing them. If you have any questions feel free to contact me!**
