TurboRock Engine

TurboRock Engine 3D model

Description

This engine is design to have two modes of operation. In the atmosphere it ac ts like a jet engine. Second mode comes in to play when the bird is above 65K feet. Where oxygen starvation comes into play. That’s when it switches from jet mode to rocket mode by switching from atmosphere O2 to liquid O2. Allowing the vehicle to climb to orbital.

NOTE: This engine should not be confused for the TURBOROCKET engine (please see "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turborocket" for more info). My engine does not burn both atmosphere O2 and liquid O2 at the same time.Where the turborocket does. Turborocket is also call a airbreathing rocket engine. Meaning it can not clime to orbit because the lack of O2. The reason is the atmosphere intake is not sealed so the combustion gas would find there way out the front air intake. My engine the air take is totally sealed thus becoming a rocket which can climb to orbit. Also the the main combustion chamber is a totally separate component that is sealed like rocket combustion chamber.

The third screen shot is the mechanical section. It uses the APU to provide the mechanical power for the pumps and the air compressor (axial flow fans& Centrifugal).
