kitani easy chair The chair was first displayed at Stockholm Furniture Fair in February, 2010. The design takes its inspiration from the delicate and elegant fingers and the gentle eyes of Buddha statues. The seat appears to be lifted up gently by the delicately shaped wooden frame. The seat is handsewn to create its gentle lines and differences in height in some areas. In this fine work, Kitani combines a Japanese-type of design with the unique skills it learned from Scandinavian furniture.
