In this pack you'll find a well set up ready-to-use mockup for any project involving a standard 211x610 500 ml can with high dense condensation and 99.9% free of intersections.

This highly detailed 3D model allows for close-ups and meets the highest industry standard. It comes with a unique HDRI map that creates perfect lighting/reflections to highlight every drop of water without losing focus on the label, which is the main subject when we are talking about brand. All you have to do is link the desired artwork to the texture node and start rendering!

Why are very dense drops of water really important? The denser / smaller the drops on the surface, the colder the temperature sensation, otherwise you get the opposite result, which is wet due to condensation when it starts to heat up.

From the modeling point of view, to have that cold feeling, you need to spread many very small geometries, avoiding overlaps, because when 2 of them meet, they must merge into a larger one, so any intersection is unreal when it comes to water. That's why creating such a complex pattern of water drops is a nightmare for any CG artist.

The project is available for 3ds Max 2017 (Vray and Redshift renderer) and Cinema 4D R20 (Physical Node Material, Redshift and Corona renderer) with 8K PBR textures/materials all set up.

NOTICE: It may work on older versions, but it is not guaranteed.

It comes with 3 geometries:

  • can ends (33.162 polygons)
  • can body
  • droplets (2.375.123 polygons)

Materials:

  • can ends PBR metal
  • can body PBR metal
  • water

8K PBR textures:

  • Albedo
  • Metalness
  • Roughness
  • Normal (DX)

Plus:

  • HDRI studio map

File was way too detailed for what I needed. For real. Couldn't find a way to simplify it with the software I have. Computer ground to a halt. : (

The model is good, Problem 1 The developer should have layered the condensations as small, medium and lager. This would give the end use more flexibility allowing the user rot turn off a layer if he/she did not want to use for example "small drops". Problem 2: The base file needs to be sub-patch and there is the problem from 2.5M polygons to 5+ depending on sub-patch level. Problem 3: the object should have been all quads. all the small object are trigons easy to delete. The medium size are a combination of all trigons and some are trigons + quads as one object same applies to large. Delate all trigons and it breaks those object that are comprised of quads and Tri's The model is unusable. I found an alternative solution which was economical and adjustable values. for outstanding results. Value for Money: no its not worth the money, find other alternative it will save you time and money.
