OverviewThis project is a comprehensive material study focusing on diverse geological textures. It features nine unique rock variations, ranging from realistic natural stones to glowing, stylized minerals. The goal was to achieve high-quality surface detail while maintaining an optimized low-poly structure suitable for game environments.
Technical SpecificationsDimensions: * Height: 1.0m
Width: 2.0m
Geometry: * Polygons: 8,865 faces
Vertices: 8,775 vertices
UV Mapping: Professional non-overlapping UV unwrapping to ensure maximum texel density and zero texture stretching.
Texture Resolution: 2K (2048x2048) PBR workflow.
Lighting: Rendered using HDR Image-Based Lighting (IBL) to accurately capture surface reflections, roughness, and subsurface depth.
Material BreakdownEach asset includes a full PBR material stack:
Albedo / Base Color: Realistic and stylized color passes.
Normal Map: High-frequency details captured for surface irregularities.
Roughness/Metallic: Tuned to distinguish between matte sedimentary rocks and crystalline/glowing minerals.
Emission: Used specifically for the green energy veins to create a vibrant, glowing effect.
Artistic VisionThe study explores the interaction between light and organic shapes. By utilizing a 2K HDR environment, the textures react dynamically to different lighting conditions, highlighting the crevices and sharp edges of the low-poly meshes. This set is designed to be Game-Ready, balancing visual fidelity with performance efficiency.
