Phra Thinang Chakri Maha Prasad 3D model

The Chakri Maha Prasad has reception rooms, dining hall and a Throne Hall. The building is in the neo-classical style with a roof surmounted by three Thai-spired Prasad instead of the three domes as stipulated by John Clunich the British architect. The foundation stone was laid by Rama V in 1876 and the main building that is built on an east to west axis was completed in i882 in time for the centenary of the founding of Bangkok.The ground floor has rooms which are used as offices and for the King’s Own Body Guards. The upper floor that is accessed by outside staircases has a foyer flanked by picture galleries and private audience chambers in the East Wing and West Wing while The Throne Hall on a north to south axis was flanked on the east by a dining room and on the west by a reception room. The top floor is reserved for the crematory relics in small urns of Rama IV, Rama V, Rama Vi, Rama VII, Rama VIII, and Rama IX. The small reliquary urns of the queens of the Fourth Reign, Fifth Reign and Seventh Reign are placed with the small reliquary urns of their respective monarchs. The crematory relics of the Prince Father and Princess Mother of Rama VIII and Rama IX as well as crematory relics of the children of the former monarchs and their queens and Princess Galyani Vadhana, the elder sister of Rama VIII and Rama IX, are also enshrined in small reliquary urns on this top floor.
