The Humble Wooden House is a photorealistic, life-scale 3D model designed to represent the modest architecture found in the marginalized neighborhoods of Cúcuta, Colombia. The structure is simple and precarious, built from old, weathered wooden planks, many of them showing cracks, dark stains, and rusted nails, reflecting both time and resourcefulness.
The improvised roof combines rusted metal sheets with wooden sections, emphasizing the handcrafted and makeshift nature of the dwelling. Its irregular walls, composed of wooden boards in varying aged tones, highlight an authentic, lived-in character. The small windows—some without glass, others with broken wood—alongside doors made from misaligned planks, reinforce the vulnerable yet human essence of the home.
The immediate environment features a dirt floor with improvised objects, such as cement blocks and recycled materials, adding realism and storytelling depth. Optimized with PBR textures (aged wood, oxidized metal, dirt, stains, and natural wear), this model is perfect for architectural visualization, social context projects, realistic urban environments, VR/AR, or cinematic productions seeking authenticity and cultural accuracy.
