Building Venus
The Venus building is a typical example of urban Cuban architecture from the 1960s to the 1980s. It combines the functionality of socialist modernism with elements of Latin American aesthetics.
The façade is painted in warm tones: the lower part is tiled in a style characteristic of public buildings from that era, while the upper part features a pink plaster finish with a prominent Venus sign. The building may have once served as a café, a hair salon, or even a small cinema. Weathered plaster, visible signs of age, an external air conditioner, and exposed brickwork add realism and authenticity to the model.
