Soho Showroom FStormVRay 3D model

A photorealistic 3D model of a two-storey showroom at the heart of NYC's Soho Cast Iron District.

This versatile scene offers the perfect showcase for your furniture models and styling projects.

The showroom's first level emphasises raw surfaces--concrete. exposed bricks, weathered plaster, exposed wiring--contributing to a rugged, industrial atmosphere. While the space includes richly modeled details that convey a high level of realism, the monochrome palette is unobtrusive, offering a neutral backdrop that would suit a broad range of designs.

The second floor stands in sharp contrast to the first with its elegant moldings, vintage wood panels and warm hardwood floor. This level's floor plan, with its niches, corners and vaulted openings provides a wide variety of angles to stage intimate shots. The interior wood shutters on the north facade include a joint hierarchy, that makes it easy to realistically open and close them, thus adjusting the amount of natural lighting available in the room.

The architectural details, from the vintage staircase to the cast-iron columns, accentuate the space's authenticity.

The scene includes two bonus full-scale cast iron buildings from my extensive Soho collection, which provide a very realistic exterior backdrop for the interior scene.

The scene also includes a complimentary LUT for use in the FSTorm to give your renders a balanced but lush filmic look.

All assets are custom-textured--many of them hand-painted--and the archive includes a V-Ray GPU and an FSTorm version. The VRay version can be used in VRay CPU but some material values, such as bump, may need to be adjusted to achieve the same render output. The VRay and the FStorm version were shaded to look as similar as possible though some variations are unavoidable due to technical differences between the two render engines.

The scene is modeled to real-world scale (in cm), is organized in layers, and all objects and materials are logically named.
