The Sanssouci Palace at one time served as the summer residence of the Prussian king Frederick the Great. The complex's Renaissance Orangery Palace overlooks Italian-style gardens and fountains. English gardens with a windmill surround the neoclassical Charlottenhof Palace. The park also features 19th-century Roman baths built in a variety of architectural styles.
