Cityscape Kaunas Lithuania

Kaunas is a city in south-central Lithuania. Kaunas Castle is a medieval fortress at the confluence of the Neris and Nemunas rivers, which today hosts historical exhibitions. The Old Town in the eastern part of Kaunas is home to a number of attractions, including Kaunas Cathedral with its richly decorated interior and the Gothic Perkun House built by Hanseatic merchants. From west to east, the town is crossed by the tree-lined Laisvės pedestrian alley with numerous coffee houses.
