This is a highly detailed model of a Sharp 'ELSIMATE' EL-8151 portable printing calculator from 1976. This device was notable for its use of an in-built 'Spark Printer' which printed by dragging a comb of electrodes across the surface of an aluminized carbon paper, burning off the aluminum coating in a dot-matrix pattern to expose the black paper underneath. It had a Vacuum Fluorescent Display, and could operate on built-in NI-CD batteries or on a wall power supply.
This model is detailed enough for close up shots, and would make excellent set-decoration in any vintage setting. Textures and materials lifted from a real counterpart are included.
