Tips for those who don't know when transferring collections from another project to your current projectYou have two Blender files. File A contains a Collection you want to use in File B. You will append that Collection from File A into File B.
Step-by-step Instructions:
Step 1: Open your current project (File B)Open Blender and load the project where you want to import the Collection.
Step 2: Use the Append function
- Go to File > Append
- Navigate to the .blend file you want to import from (File A)
- Click on the .blend file — you’ll see several folders: Object, Mesh, Collection, Material, etc.
- Open the Collection folder -> Select the Collection you want to bring in -> Click Append
Step 3: Check the imported CollectionAfter appending, you’ll see the Collection appear in the Outliner.All objects, materials, and data within that Collection will be imported as well.
