DESCRIPTION

This is a high polygon spider looking robot. It was inspired by thewandering on CGcookie's instagram page. Made in Blender and rendered with Cycles render engine.

The main part of it was made with a cylinder and multiple loop cuts, bevels and booleans. Details were made with bevelled cubes with added boolean modifiers. Bolts were made from hexagonal cylinders.

For the arm pieces, I used a curve to connect the bottom parts and make it look more organic. After that, I used two cylinders and added edge loops and booleans to give them more detail. For the hooks, I used cubes with a subdivision surface modifier.

Materials were used for this model, no textures were used. Materials: plastic (yellow and black), silver (light and dark).

Made to what would be real-world scale if these actually existed. Best used in sci fi scenes.

Native: blend; Other formats: obj, fbx, stl, ply
