DESCRIPTION

Rigged spacesuit/sci-fi armor made in Blender.

I've sculpted it, then recreated it from subdivided meshes (I also included those in a separate file if you would like a different mesh resolution - it should be then fairly easy to pair those new parts back to the armature). I formerly made it for one of my personal projects - but never actually got to make it happen, so I've decided to post it here - maybe some of you will find a new use for it ;-)

I've made an IK rig for it, it also has some procedural materials (all this good stuff in the .blend file).

The majority of the model deforms as solid parts - except joints, pants, and torso. There's also a separate controller of head lights in the form of an empty object.

The pants part of the armature wasn't my own idea - I've watched a youtube tutorial on how to make this region work without me doing manual weight painting (because - like every non-alien being - I hate doing it) and must say, it worked better than expected :-)
