Beerus (ビ ル ス Kan, BirusuHepJP), officially titled as the God of Destruction Beerus (破 壊 神 ビ ル ス Kan, Hakai-shin BirusuHepJP) of course, also known as Beers, or Bills in Latin America and initially in Spain [1], is a character that was introduced in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods, where he is the main antagonist of the film, and that appears in the manga and anime Dragon Ball Super as the main character. It occupies the position of God of Destruction of the entire Universe 7 being the place where the history of Dragon Ball takes place. Its name originally had a pun on virus. Initially in Japan, the word virus was taken directly from Chinese, written as 病毒 (byōdoku), but has since been dropped from use. In 1953, the Japanese Virology Society established an alternative Japanese approach to the word based on the original Latin pronunciation, which is written in katakana as ウ イ ル ス (uirusu).
