Perseus was the Ancient Greek Hero, who founded the famous town of Mycenae, after which the Greek Mycenaean civilization is named. Among his legendary deeds, Perseus killed the famous Monster Gorgon Medusa, killed the sea monster Ketos and rescued Andromeda from such monster. According to the original Ancient Greek and Roman tales, Perseus never, never!, used the winged horse Pegasus! Perseus, in fact, received the magic winged boots from the god Hermes and used them to fly across the sky.
