Captain Tashigi[5] is a Marine officer serving under Vice Admiral Smoker in the base of G-5,[2] as well as a member and Captain of G-5 Branch's Unit 01.She was originally introduced as a Master Chief Petty Officer in Loguetown[3] but was promoted to Ensign[4] after the events in Arabasta.[9] During the timeskip, she was promoted to Captain.[2]Due to her actions, she can be considered a supporting antagonist during the Loguetown Arc, but she and Smoker temporarily teamed up with the Straw Hats during the end of the Arabasta Saga and the Punk Hazard Arc.
