This is a model based on the peculiar outfits worn by 16th century plague doctors. These doctors provided medical care specifically for people with the plague and worked in environments considered to be contaminated. The suits were believed to protect the wearers from putrid air which was thought to be the source of illnesses. The beak-like masks were filled with herbs and spices to filter out the air. Aside from that, the costumes are pretty creepy and super cool. Add this model to your medieval game or short film or whatever.
