Kuja is the primary antagonist of Final Fantasy IX. Weaving his schemes from the shadows, he initially bends events to his will by manipulating Queen Brahne of Alexandria. His ultimate ambition, however, is to acquire the power of the eidolons for himself and dominate Gaia. He is a powerful sorcerer and rides a silver dragon.Kuja's speech is laced with metaphors, calling Garnet a canary and Brahne the elephant-lady. This refined eloquence starkly contrasts his true nature as a sadistic warmonger. His penchant for opulence and luxury is evident in his lavish home at Desert Palace and his frequent visits to the nobles' district in Treno.
