Hajji Firuz (also known as Khwāje Piruz) is A PERSIAN fictional figure who emerges in the streets during the early days of Nowruz, the Persian New Year. His appearance is quite distinctive: he has a thin build, a soot-covered face, and wears bright red clothes along with a hat. As he dances through the streets, he sings and plays a bell circle.
