The 3D model of Phra Thinang Chakri Maha Prasad was created to represent one of the most remarkable architectural landmarks within the Grand Palace, Bangkok. This project focuses on illustrating the harmonious blend between traditional Thai architectural style and Western neoclassical design, symbolizing the modernization of Siam during the reign of King Rama V.
The modeling process began with comprehensive research, including historical references, architectural drawings, and photographic studies, to ensure accuracy in scale and proportion. The base structure was modeled using SketchUp (or specify: Blender / 3ds Max / Revit), emphasizing the grand façade, symmetrical form, and the iconic multi-tiered Thai roofs combined with Western-style columns and arches.
This 3D model can be used for architectural visualization, historical documentation, tourism promotion, or educational purposes, helping to preserve and showcase Thailand’s cultural heritage in digital form.
