The decision of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) to beautify the12 km stretch of the Sion-Panvel Highway, which is under the jurisdiction of Public Works Department (PWD) has not gone down well with the Aam Admi Party, Navi Mumbai. They feel that the civic body, instead of spending Rs. 7 crores on beautifying the stretch, which should actually be done by the PWD as per the toll contract, should utilise the money on other important issues.
