DESCRIPTION

This was a team effort by myself and Pete Klemm.

Our design allows for the retro-fit of existing bottle lights as well as new installations. It also allows for variations due to the available printing methods and other resources. The battery box and solar panel support are separate from the actual light allowing for optimal placement. It can also be mounted to any roof or structure in a number of different ways depending on what is available. The angle of the panel is also adjustable to allow for optimal positioning. The solar panel is also exposed to the air to allow for maximum cooling and to limit the amount of heat transferred to the batteries and circuitry. (electrical connections need to be sealed with silicon or other adequate sealant) The battery support ribs inside of the battery box also provide air space around the batteries and other electronics to aid in cooling.

I have placed numerous pins on the files in the 3D viewer, please check them out and feel free to add your own comments (both good and bad).

Please see the included a pdf located under the files tab with complete installation directions.

For the renderings and assembly files, we used solarpanel by Ashish and 2l cola bottle by Frederik Vollbrecht. Thanks guys!
