Multi-arm hanging lights are a direct ancestor of the chandelier, originating in 17th Century France. In contrast to the more traditional styling of these Chandeliers, these fittings provide a simpler and more modern alternative, still keeping faithful to the basic concepts that were conceived centuries ago, whilst making the most of the modern techniques available today, replacing the classic crystal designs with sleek effective uses of various metals.
