AboutThis stone centerpiece is actually made up of two separate pieces, the square base is cast stone and the bowl on top is cast hypertufa, which is an expanded stone that is slightly lighter than concrete. The bowl has been piled high with hypertufa spheres and preserved moss, for a look that is simply stunning.

This centerpiece has a total height of 20 inches and a diameter of 18 inches. The height from the base to the lip of the bowl is 12", so the spheres and moss account for the rest of the total height. The moss can be removed or replaced with other greenery, or used as a planter. The base and the bowl are two separate pieces that are not permanently attached.

Note: The bowl has some edges that are distressed, which is intended by the artist and we feel contribute to the beauty of the piece. There is also a crack which was present when the piece was taken out of the mold, which is common with this type of material and is only cosmetic. Also, in these images, the bowl was not perfectly centered on the base, so it appears slightly crooked in some images (we opted to move the bowl around rather than the whole piece when photographing. It will look level when placed in the center and adjusted when installed. See images for full details.Continue Reading
