Honestly I really wanted to leave a positive review, but my experience with this creator was less than ideal. Let me start by saying if this is the asset you're looking for you might have a better experience. Here's my objectively honest account of what happened so you can make up your own mind. First of all, the quality of the work seems good. Although, take that with a grain of salt because I didn't end up using it in my project. Let's just say I didn't find anything wrong with it. The models, textures and materials all look great in the Unreal demo level. I did however, accidently purchase this asset without looking at the the format properly. I wanted the Unity version and I got the Unreal asset. That's on me, totally my fault for making a mistake at purchase. It was on sale (70% off) and I got excited, so I bought it for $18. After purchase I contacted the author to see if I could grab the Unity version instead. They responded by offering me a 30% discount off the full price of the Unity version if I purchased it from Gumroad. In other words, I would now need to pay an additional $41.99 to get the Unity version on top of the original $18 that I already paid. The author justified this decision by blaming CGTrader for applying the large discount and saying that the 30% discount on the Unity version meant that I would get both versions for the equivalent of paying full price for one version. But of course, having both versions is completely useless to me because I don't make games with Unreal. So this "offer" is no different than paying full price for the asset. I wouldn't have purchased the asset if it wasn't on sale. I went out of my way to provide detailed feedback and explained that 90% of CGTrader assets provide both versions (or multiple formats like FBX). I gave them ample time to respond (over 2 weeks) but they didn't get back to me. I will happily change this to a positive review if the author ever uploads the Unity version to CGTrader. I really don't understand why they are only selling the Unreal asset here when they clearly have the Unity version available on other asset stores.
