Description

This is a realistic model of Scolopendra gigantea, also known as the Peruvian giant yellow-leg centipede or Amazonian giant centipede for Cinema 4d v20 and up.

Anatomically correct, rigged, animated, textured and ready to render with Redshift render. Basic materials for advanced render are also set up. Normal map for realtime applications is included.

The rig is designed for parametric motion, made with CMotion objects, which allows specifying arbitrary spline path and surface for Scolopendra to crawl along. It has a clean and intuitive structure with main attributes grouped in one place. Complex animation can be achieved easily with minimum effort. Rig has workarounds to fix default Cmotion limitations on complex surfaces.

Model has a separate 'SHADOW' hierarchy of deformation joints, so all the animation can be baked from control rig to joints transforms allowing to export the model to realtime applications or game engines.
