Description

Tarbosaurus was a massive carnivorous dinosaur that roamed the plains of Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago. Closely related to the famous Tyrannosaurus rex, Tarbosaurus shared many similar features, including its large, powerful jaws filled with sharp teeth and tiny, two-fingered forelimbs. However, it was slightly smaller, reaching up to 12 meters in length. This apex predator likely preyed on large herbivores like hadrosaurs and sauropods. Its long, muscular tail provided balance while chasing prey, making it a formidable hunter. Fossils of Tarbosaurus have been found primarily in Mongolia, offering critical insights into the diversity of tyrannosaurids in ancient Asia
