This is a realistic rigged (feathered) model of an Avocet for 3DS Max 2016 and up.

Model is textured, rigged using CAT rigging tools (built in 3DS Max) so no need for plugin, Not animated (if you want the animated copy, please download from the link (https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/animals/bird/avocet-bird) , materials are sat up and ready for render with Vray. Texture maps are 4K and included.

Rig structure is very clean and animator-friendly and anatomically correct. Beside the 3DS Max file which includes everything, ALSO as a gift, Included also a loadable rig file (Production_Avocet_MainRig.rg3) which you can call directly from 3DS Max and load the full textured rigged character as many copies as you want, No aimation clip added for this model here, if you want the animation file, you can download from (https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/animals/bird/avocet-bird) . If you wanna use the CAT rig file I mentioned above, please make sure to put both files in the below directory: (Production_Avocet_MainRig.rg3) in: (C:\Users\yourComputerName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2016 - 64bit\ENU\plugcfg_ln\CAT\CATRigs). you can also know the directories by checking where the similar clips and rig files in CAT folder.

Please, take a quick look at the explanation video which explains how to load the character and the animation (Loading Avocet rigs and animation) to get into it. The Avocet is covered with feather (Ornatrix hair system) which gives it very realistic look.Also, if you don't have Ornatrix hair plugin, The Avocet is covered with Geometrical feather (Without plugin) which gives it very realistic look.
