DESCRIPTION

Mitsubishi F-3 F-X Godzilla concept
Lowpoly model of japanese concept stealth jet fighter.

Mitsubishi F-X (unofficially called F-3) is a sixth-generation stealth fighter in development for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It is Japan’s first domestically developed stealth fighter jet and will replace the Mitsubishi F-2 by the mid ’30s. Its development is to also bolster the nation’s defense industry and potentially enter the international arms market amid Japan’s change in defense posture. In Oct 2020, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected as the lead developer. The F-X is said to be bigger than the F-22. The large size indicates the MoD desires the aircraft to possess very long range and large payload capacity.
2 versions standard with outside pylons for additional armament (standing) and stealth with folded ruddervators and no outside pylons (flying) enable to fly both in stealthy and full-attack-potential modes.
