The F-104 Starfighter is a supersonic high altitude high speed interceptor developed by Lokheed in the 50s. The F-104 was the first production fighter to be capable of mach 2 speeds. It held numerous speed and altitude records, some are still yet to be broken. Created as a day fighter by Lockheed as one of the Century Series of fighter aircraft for the United States Air Force (USAF), it was developed into an all-weather multirole aircraft in the early 1960s and produced by several other nations, seeing widespread service outside the United States.
The F-104J (also called Eiko in Japan) is a specialized interceptor variant of the F-104G (a fighter-bomber variant of the F-104) for the JASDF, built under license by Mitsubishi for the air-superiority fighter role, armed with cannon and four Sidewinders; no strike capability.
This model also features the wingtip fuel tanks, rigged control surfaces, rigged landing gear, AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles (on the pylons under the fuselage) and decals of the F-104J. This model is rigged and animated.
