Taken. Up – Game Environment Style & Concept
Taken. Up is a post-apocalyptic survival horror game set in the year 2036, after a sudden, global disappearance event has left the world in chaos. The game follows an atheist survivor navigating a silent, crumbling world—facing not only the physical dangers of collapse but also the emotional and psychological weight of what’s been lost.
The visual style of Taken. Up is grounded, cold, and immersive. Environments are inspired by abandoned urban landscapes, underground bunkers, and weathered industrial architecture. Surfaces show years of decay—cracked concrete, rusted steel, broken glass, and remnants of a world that once was.
Lighting plays a key role in setting the mood: soft light, god rays, fog that fills the large empty spaces of the decrepit industrail complexes of Taken. Up's world
A horror survival game that doesnt need jumpscares
