Various high-poly/low-poly light switches and outlets with basic materials added in Blender. The high poly version of the GFCI outlet has its text engraved directly onto the mesh, while the low poly version utilizes a normal map.

The moving parts like the dials, switches, and buttons are rigged, and function perfectly outside the program in the provided filetypes. However, the bone icons and blender-specific location/rotation limit constraints will not export to outside programs. Currently, this pack has been tested and functions fully on Unity, I have provided a package download for easy accessibility.

The high poly GFCI outlet has blender file-specific procedural textures for its 'TEST' and 'RESET' buttons, which may not function outside of the program unless exported properly. These models use basic blender shader materials, and provided normal maps come in three different sizes, 1K, 2K, and 4K, with an alternate normal map provided for the low poly GFCI outlet. Each model is fully UV unwrapped, allowing customizable textures on the plates/switches (TEXTURE EXAMPLE NOT PROVIDED IN PRODUCT).

Comes in .obj, .fbx, .stl, .blend, and .unitypackage filetypes.

In August 2022, I made some major improvements and revisions to these models, so the poly count has been generally reduced as a result. The LOW POLY version counts of each individual model are as follows:

  • quad_switch_lp: 2,544 polys/5,088 tris
  • rocker_switch_lp: 627 polys/1,254 tris
  • single_toggle_switch_dimmer_lp: 555 polys/1,110 tris
  • single_toggle+dimmer_switch_lp: 1,427 polys/2,854 tris
  • single_switch+rocker_switch_lp: 1,371 polys/2,742 tris
  • double_toggle_switch_lp: 1,323 polys/2,646 tris
  • single_toggle_switch_lp: 690 polys/1,380 tris
  • button_switch_dimmer_lp: 925 polys/1,850 tris
  • dimmer_switch_lp: 779 polys/1,558 tris
  • single_toggle+dimmer_switch_lp: 1,427 polys/2,854 tris
  • triple_toggle_switch_lp: 1,926 polys/3,852 tris
  • standard_outlet_lp: 955 polys/1,910 tris
  • GFCI_outlet_lp: 1,245 polys/2,490 tris
