Description

As a thank you for purchasing my Wooden Fence 2 Modular. I added a bunch of new stuff to provide lots of variation for many purposes. Previous owners get this update for free. This will be updated on all marketplaces.

  • 2048x2048 Resolution .PNG Textures
  • Texture Profiles:
    • PBR [BaseColor, Metallic, Roughness, Normal, Occlusion]
    • UNREAL ENGINE [BC_ / N_ / ORM_]
  • Most meshes have 1x material mesh, joined ones may have 2 or 3.
    • 20 materials total for all the package.
  • Naming Conventions: SM_ / M_ / T_
  • FBX & .BLEND files /
    • Scene Files [Textures Attached and No Textures Version if needed],
    • Individual .FBX Exports at origin 000 [Without Textures Attached] - About 660 files.
    • All-In-One .FBX Export at origin 000 [Textures Attached and No Textures Version if needed]
    • Blender Render Template [same as you see in the Blender labeled shots].
  • Poly Count: The pack is mid to low-poly. - Props textured with tilesheet/seamless method have a 1x Bevel. Some have unbeveled variations.
    • Poly count for most individual things is below 1k Tris for about 80% to 70% of the pack.
    • Polycount can go to 13k Tris for joined meshes like wooden bridges with ropes. About 20 to 30% of the pack.
    • Total polycount without assembled Cabin examples is 360,984 Tris and 194k verts for about 659 objects.
  • Shading for most things use auto_smooth, beveled meshes use a combination of auto_smooth with weighted normals.

*IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE - TEXTURING AND UV UNWRAPPING: *

  • UV Unwrapping: Non_Overlapping for a few & Overlapping for most. About 80% of the pack is Textured with tilesheet & seamless methods. Note: Most UV overlapping objects do not have seams.

IMPORTANT NOTES 2 - PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

  • Detailing in some meshes is not super high quality as for something made for Unreal Engine 5 / Nanite. Some textures were textured via trim-sheet or seamless methods. Also polycount is quite low on most objects. These meshes may work great for prototypes or generic distance or area filler.
  • Everything in terms of scale is modeled around the scale of the Unreal Engine 4 mannequin. I left a small mesh in the center 0,0,0 that has the height of the UE4 mannequin. Please use it for reference for scale if needed. Thanks!
  • There are some unique meshes which I either sculpted or did unique texturing. Examples are wooden buckets, wooden chest or the new modular fences that look like the ones from the V1.
  • Some meshes have variations. Also some variations include their parts separated if needed, this to make your own combinations or more. In the other hand, some meshes are joined to provide easier control on them. Examples of this are wooden bridges with ropes, all joined for easier drag and drop or fences that are either one mesh or have their parts separated so one could mix them or build things with the individual parts.
  • Pivot placement is quite generous in a way that I made it so it is easy to follow a modular approach. For example pivots were placed in corners or areas where it is easy to join meshes together and such. I tested as much as I could and was happy with the end-result. But I am human and may had missed some areas. All I can say is that I made sure to test as much as I could in order to make sure these were usable.
  • Some fences are not uber-optimized in the sense that some faces are not invisible [side-touching-faces or bottom faces]. I made this in purpose so it is easier to close them instead of using other meshes. Still they are already super low-poly so it may not be an issue at all with nowadays technology. Also I did this in purpose since someone may like to use them differently to what is offered here and may need to be seen from almost all angles.
  • The V1 fence I originally made back in 2021 is there still but I do not recommend to use it. I left it for nostalgia purposes for those that bought it. Its shading is not the best. Please use the newest versions, these are marked as _new.
  • For best organization please use the .BLENDER files I left in the pack. In these I organized everything in 10 batches via collections and such, so it is easier to understand the pack better. It is not super huge, but it has about 600 objects or so, so it may get a little bit overwhelming without the .BLEND files.
  • Cabin assembly examples are available only in the _SCENE files. These are not available in the individual exports as shown. But I left the one mesh Cabin in the individual exports if needed for distance usage. Note: It is low poly but it is not optimized as is since it is built of many small modular modules. Added as an example of what can be built quickly with these modules.
  • Note, if using this assets in a game-engine. There are more tweaks needed to be done. This pack does not include any LODs, Lightmaps or Collisions. These need to be manually set-up by you. I personally tested these models in Unreal and work great for what I saw. But the UE Textures needs to be set-up [material instances and collisions] and such, it needs extra work. I am not including the Unreal Engine game-pack for this one. But in the future I may decide to implement it to one of my existing packs, but no promises. Just be aware of this before purchasing, thanks!
  • I added an extra Wood Trim 1 variation with roughness. Props like the planks may look cool with it but some others may not look that great such as the Cabin walls. Use it if you want, I included it as an extra since I liked how some stuff looks. But decided to leave a less roughness-like variation for one of the trims since it looked more consistent.
  • The shots you see here are divided in the following: Blender Cycles, Blender Eevee, Model Viewer and Raw Blender Shots

For the best accurate view of what you are getting in a raw-like view. Please see the raw blender viewport shots I provided. These show the pack contents as they look right out of the box so you see exactly what you are purchasing and how it really looks.

Examples of Poly-Count:

  • - Wooden Fence 2: 160 Tris, 108 Verts
  • - Fence 2 Post: 20 Tris, 15 Verts
  • - HD Bucket 2 with handle: 1972 Tris

MODEL BATCH SPECIFICS:

Batch 1/10: 1 - WOODEN BUCKETS

  • Contains two wooden buckets and rope meshes with variations. Versions with rope and holder and separated available. Meshes use their own material and texture maps.

Batch 2/10: 2 - DEFORMED PLANKS AND WOODEN POSTS

  • Contains a batch of planks and wooden posts UV unwrapped in 1 space and baked and a Trim-sheet textured variation

Batch 3/10: 3 - OPEN WOODEN BUCKET

  • Contains a unique textured open wooden bucket. A variation from the previous buckets without a holder. Uses its own material and texture maps.

Batch 4/10: 4 - WOODEN CHEST

  • Contains a unique textured old wooden chest. A mesh with the inside modeled and a cover and one mesh closed and optimized without the inside. Uses its own texture map and material.

Batch 5/10: 5 - WOODEN POSTS AND PLANKS - BAKED AND TILEBASED

  • Big batch of planks, posts and more. 90% tile-base textured. Planks and Posts contain variations with ropes and modules with planks, posts and ropes in order to make bridge-like edifications. Some can be repeated, modular-designed, marked as such. Some are non-repeatable. Most share the same materials across most meshes.
  • The unique texture baked set is very small and was more like an experiment. It helps to contrast the benefits of texturing with trim-sheets and seamless textures versus a one map baked mesh. I included this manually unwrapped and baked small batch since it may be useful to anybody out there. This is 10% or so of this batch.

Batch 6/10: 6 - PROPS 2 - GENERIC - WOODEN FENCES AND BRIDGES

  • Contains a series of modules representing a wooden bridge with planks. The wooden bridge has a base and big posts that support it. There are different modules with the pivot placed for easy bridge building. You can build the bridge as long as you want while having many modules for variation. There are also variation in fences, planks and separated bases if needed plus more. This is personally one of the batches I enjoyed making the most. It also may be the most useful for quick bridge building.

Batch 7/10: 7 - PROPS 1 - GENERIC - WOODEN CABIN AND PLANKS, ETC

  • This contains an experimental modular cabin-like structure. It contains walls, ceiling, floors and walls with windows. It may help to quickly prototype an edification. There are some examples in the _SCENE file in how it builds. Pivots are placed for easy building. In this batch there are also columns, a wooden balcony and some big planks and bases with planks. May be useful for floors and such too.

Batch 8/10: 8 - BAKED WOODEN PLANKS

  • This batch contains two baked wooden planks with their own material and textures. I sculpted these in order to make them different and more HD-like. These can be re-used. You could also flip them since I sculpted every single part of the plank making it more unique and detailed than the tile-sheet ones from previous batches.

Batch 9/10: 9 - WOODEN FENCES 2 JFG - ORIGINAL AND REMAKES

  • This batch contains the old V1 wooden fence 2 and the new remade ones. The new ones use great shading and texturing. The old one I left for nostalgia reasons for anybody that bought it, but the new ones are definitely much better. I also provided a few variations in texturing for this one while still aiming to get the essence of the original one. I remade the UVs and re-baked in order to fix any normal and shading issues.

Batch 10/10: 10 - WOODEN FENCES 3 JFG

  • This is the last batch and includes new fences and variations from 1 to 9. These include modules that can be repeated and also include joined/one_mesh and separated parts versions and variations.

**Thanks for reading and for considering! and if you purchased this pack before this update. Thank you very much.
