A great collection of models.
trying to fig out how to set them up separately
7.5 out of 10
nice, but a .mtl in the .obj file would have been helpful. replaceing textures is a bore.
There are 48 texture files and they are NOT matched at all in FBX.
mass and chaos, no naming, all the buildings come in one fbx; in Unity it is not easy to separate them. Sorry for that, because they look great.
MAX import had mismatched material assignments. I could not use it without significant editing.
I used the provided Blender file in Blender 2.80. A lot of the provided textures are not sized in powers of two (ie; 512, 1024, 2048, etc), but odd sizes which do not work when used in Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019 (TRS19), which is what I bought these for. Re-scaling the textures in GIMP to be powers of two does not work well as it often distorts the images. The author really needs to adhere to the powers of two convention for his textures, which is pretty standard. The scaling of the buildings and all their components are not to real scale, again required by TRS19, so you will probably need to re-scale for whatever application you are planning to use these in. The buildings are formed from a series of object components (ie; cube, planes, cylinder, etc) which does not make it easy to work with. The object components are in quads instead of triangles so I had to fix this in Blender in order to have it work in TRS19. Overall I am disappointed with this package and am not using it because of the amount of work it will take to fix each and every building to work in TRS19. This is a shame as they look real nice based on the CGTrader screenshots.
This file works only in Blender. The export formats are mesh only. The fbx+textures file is not working in 3DsMax because the UV's get screwed up when exporting from blender.
all exports 3ds, obj, fbk don't have correct link to textures.
not usable
1)Buildings are not seperate model but every building is bunch of different shapes like different cube.
2)IT makes really difficult to attach texture in unity as there are 30-40 different models so it is really time wasting to attach texture.
all version dont apply textures correctly in unity. the blender version applies textures but without mapping.
The textures are not linked to the model in any logical manner, this is totally useless to me
something like this for my game
FBX was fixed, thank you, and sorry for the bad review.
